Those who seek to insert Russia into the analogy of the bull and bullfighting miss the point altogether. The arena is the construct of the West, populated by persons such as Anne Applebaum who lust for blood. The Matador and his ensemble are the Zelensky government and it’s NATO allies, who lead the Ukrainian bull to its violent demise. Without the arena, without the Matador, the Ukrainian bull would be alive. Russia plays no role in facilitating the circumstances of the Ukrainian bull’s demise; that is the sole purview of the collective west and its Ukrainian minions in the Zelensky government. Without them, there would be no war, no bullfight.

All I can say here, is that Scott has surpassed all his previous writings with this piece. It is a most eloquent indictment of the pathology of power that afflicts a detached elite class that has completely lost touch with reality

What a perfect analogy ..... the bullfight !

I have always hated that murderous spectacle that , in my opinion , is unworthy of being referred to as a sport. It is a ceremony of murder , like what is happening in Ukraine as Scott so aptly states.

Slow Joe Biden and his neocon handlers are amongst the most evil, vile, and disgusting creatures alive today.

O my god, this is brilliant. It brought me to tears in fact. No one has portrayed this “war” more accurately than you Scott. Thank you for your courage and insight always, but especially for this beautiful and painful piece.

Thank you for all your hard work.

I’m editing this after reading several comments. Mr. Ritter has been focused on one primary goal. Waging Peace.

People like Anne Applebaum never have to answer for anything. When the SMO is complete, she will continue her hobby of poisoning Western opinion against Russia.

Applebaum, aka Mrs. Radek Sikorski, is a sociopath who regards anything other than aggression as contemptible weakness.

Eloquently stated Scott. Thank you for shining the daylight on a pampered princess and her selfish, shallow and shameful screed.

Scott, you're getting downright literary, and it's fun to read, knowing that it's also truthful.

This is poetry in the form of prose.

Only warrior poets can write like this.

Your courage, quest for Truth and fighting for what is Right as demonstrated by your valiant efforts to prevent 2003 Iraq invasion makes you a Hero in my eyes, diametrically opposite of the greedy War mongers including the current leaders of the collective West. You did not allow this episode as U.N. Weapons Inspector to give up in despair.

Your inner agony, compassion and clarity brought on by your recent personal experiences in Russia gave sharpness to this piece, so far the best of your articles I’ve read. I hope and pray that most of the people in the West will read this article eventually to understand what kind of degenerate cowards are destroying their countries in order to serve their masters of the Military Industrial complex and other Trans-National Corporations, bent on destroying Russia and stealing their resources, being utterly blind to the fact that such efforts could ultimately lead to all out Nuclear War.
